Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Here are some of the answers to the most frequently asked questions in our bakery.

1. What makes your products different?

Well, you might have read once or twice that we are a home bakery, and that fact alone sets apart from most other bakeries. Our desserts are not made in factories like those you might purchase from some grocery store/chain bakeries. We are known for our delicious moist cakes and our great customer service! Casey works with you to get all the details to make sure your desserts are perfect for whatever occasion they are for.

2. Are you a full service bakery, or do you only make cakes?

We are a full-service bakery. We can make any baked good your heart desires. Please see our menu here.

3. How do I place an order? 

You may place an order by sending us a message on Facebook, Instagram, Google Docs or phone (864)415-9203.

4. Where can I find your pricing?

We have some set prices on our menu, but for custom cakes/desserts please send us a message for a price. Pricing varies depending on the design elements, size and flavor, so it would be impossible to list our pricing on our webpage.

5. Am I limited to the cake designs on your website?

No! Those photographs are merely examples of work we’ve done in the past. Please feel free to email over any inspirational designs you may find through other sites.

6. What is fondant?

Fondant is a sugar-based “dough” for cakes that is used to create some design elements. Fondant is useful for certain designs that cannot be neatly drawn. We do NOT cover our cakes in fondant, it is only used for details.

7. What if I need to cancel my order? 

If paid in full, a 50% refund or a 100% store credit will be issued for any cancellations that are made 72 hours before the date of pick-up on a custom order. If there was only a deposit placed on the order, a store credit will be given of the deposit amount. We do not refund any portion of the purchase price for orders canceled less than 72 hours before the due date and time.

8. I’ve heard that I need to place my order weeks in advance in order for you to help me?

We recommend ordering at least a week in advance for a custom cake. Please feel free to contact us, we book up quick!

9. Do you deliver?

Casey’s Kitchen does deliver!  

  • Currently we do meet-ups with customers Thursday & Friday @ 6PM and Saturday @ 10AM at the Ingles on Asheville Hwy. *Second Saturday of the month, pickups are at 9AM.
  • If you need delivery to your venue a $15 delivery fee will be applied to your order within a 10 mile radius of Ingles on Asheville Hwy. Anything past the 10 mile radius will be an extra $2 per mile charge added to the $15 charge.

10. How much of a deposit is required to place an order?

After receiving your quote, it is your responsibility to respond in a timely manner. A 50% retainer fee (non-refundable, transferable dependent on my availability) is due within 24 hours of confirming your order. Failure to pay your retainer fee cancels your order. The remaining 50% is due the Wednesday before pick-up. Payment will be taken through Apple Pay, Zelle, CashApp, Venmo (fee will be applied) or PayPal (fee will be applied).
